The KeyneLink framework consists of 5 core elements:
Each of these elements stand alone, but it is the combination of all five that is needed to drive execution within your organization.
The Foundation Data comes from the strategy and planning process and includes vision, mission, core behaviors, and perhaps most importantly for our purposes, initiatives. The Foundation Data defines what success means for the organization, and identifies the critical outcomes needed in a given fiscal year to achieve your plans. As part of the framework, the initiatives are reviewed and tailored within each group of the organization to ensure that they are clear, relevant, and engaging at all levels in the organization.
Performance Agreements are collaborative agreements developed between a manager and an employee. We developed the concept of Performance Agreements because we needed a better vehicle for defining performance expectations and gaining the commitment necessary for goal achievement.
The Performance agreement
Our Performance agreement framework defines responsibilities, goals, and commitments for each individual employee. They bring everything down to an individual level which is where execution happens. What the individual people in your organization do or do not do, what they get done or do not get done is what determines whether there is execution at all. The Performance agreement framework provides the clarity, commitment and framework needed for individual execution.
Primary Job Responsibilities get to the essence of an individual employee’s functional job. We created the concept of primary job responsibilities because you can’t manage functional day to day responsibilities through job descriptions. It identifies the outcomes the organization is counting on the individual employee to deliver.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Primary job responsibilities define what the organization counts on an employee for in their day to day functional roll. Unlike job descriptions, which tend to be very task oriented, primary job responsibilities focus on outcomes.
Goals
Goals determine the changes or improvements needed to accomplish the organizational initiatives. Goals link directly to the initiatives and clarify how individual employees contribute to them.
Progress Meetings
The Progress Meetings are the driver of the KeyneLink framework. This is where execution management takes place. Without the progress meetings, there is no execution. The structured agenda ensures there is a monthly progress check on initiatives, responsibilities, core behaviors, goals and working relationships. Adjustments, changes, obstacles, and feedback are all discussed and implemented during the monthly progress meetings. This is the heart and soul of the framework.
This makes the organizational initiatives visible to all employees in which they can link their goals.
KeyneLink is a revolutionary strategy execution management system that integrates your organization’s initiatives with the daily activities of your people. It is part framework, part software, and part road map. It motivates your organization, teams, and employees to work together to reach goals that take your organization to the next level.
